Scossa the perfect partner in show home display!
Scossa was delighted to support local housing developer Hollinwood Homes in kitting out the Sandringham show home at the new and exclusive Parkwood Chase development in Wrea Green. We enjoy an excellent relationship with Hollinwood Homes, not least because of our shared commitment to providing a truly personal and bespoke service. Given both the strength of this relationship and our expertise in sourcing original furniture and lighting, we were commissioned to select and install a range of tasteful items to enthuse visitors to the show home.
Parkwood Chase offers 36 new homes, a mixture of three, four and five-bedroom properties. It has been built with the intention of offering something for everyone, from professional couples wanting an ‘escape’ to a large family seeking the ultimate ‘forever’ home. With the external views of each property offering both privacy and an invitation to appreciate life beyond the boundary, it was unsurprising that our remit was to source and provide a blend of classic, vintage and creative furniture and lighting. The wishlist given to us included sofas, occasional chairs, sideboards, dining table and seating, beds and children's furniture.
Despite a limited turnaround time, we were able to ensure that every room was decked out appropriately prior to the opening of The Sandringham for public viewing. As always, our emphasis was on meeting our brief while, like Parkwood Chase itself, inviting prospective homeowners to think creatively about how they might kit out their potential abode. Our installations included a Carl Hansen chair, String® shelving and features such as a child’s classic toy car to appeal to younger members of the family.
As always, the items that we sourced and provided were in line with Scossa’s commitment to sustainability. Such values are very much shared by Hollinwood Homes, which prides itself on creating energy-efficient properties that also maximise light and space. Just as we aspire to stand out from the crowd in terms of our offer and service, so Hollinwood is committed to innovation that sets it apart from its competitors. For instance, through its partnership with British Gypsum, it has brought three new features to Parkwood Chase. Magnetic walls enable swift and ad hoc transformations of a room, super-strength plasterboard allows for the fitting of heavy items with no special fixings and silent floor technology offers ground-breaking acoustic performance.
Scossa is delighted that the show home collaboration has been a great success, with many visitors praising the tasteful but different décor of the show home. Our directors Lee and Helen Stevenson are proud to have worked with Hollinwood Homes in this exciting project, not least because of our organisations’ shared values. Lee said:
“It was something of a race against time to get everything in place for the opening of the show home, but we are used to working to tight deadlines.
Hollinwood Homes really know how to create a stunning home. The show home looks fabulous, with fantastic attention to detail. It is refreshing to see something so different to the standard show home look; we are all about creating a different experience and it is great to work with a company that shares this ethos.”
